Florida police release final report, interview on Hulk Hogan’s cause of death
Police said interviews, recordings and a 72-page report found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing in the wrestler’s death.
The Clearwater Police Department officially closed its investigation into the July 24, 2025, death of wrestling icon Terry Bollea, known as Hulk Hogan, ruling the case an attended natural death.
Hogan's family previously filed a petition seeking a 90-day extension to investigate potential medical malpractice, referencing care at Morton Plant Hospital and Tampa General Hospital.
According to the department's report, Bollea's medical history included chronic lymphocytic leukemia and atrial fibrillation, as detailed in accounts from his wife, Daily, occupational therapist McCamey, and aide Swinton.
Attorney Kevin Hayslett and the family—Sky, Nick, and Brooke—were thanked by Clearwater Police for their cooperation, as their assistance provided legal justification to access critical personal information.
While the investigation is closed, security camera footage and autopsy results remain private, while medical records associated with the case remain exempt from disclosure under Florida law.
