The steel bridge constructed across the Tungabhadra River on the Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka routes near Gillesugur in Raichur taluk has broken. This has caused a traffic jam on the Raichur-Mantralaya route for two hours. Fortunately, no one was killed in the accident. As soon as the matter came to light, the Madavaram police of Andhra Pradesh visited the spot and inspected it.
