The trade war triggered by the US import tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump is increasing foreign steel flow for Brazil, worried about the national steel industry. According to the Brazilian Institute of Steel, which represents steel steel imports in the country, the imports of laminated steel dropped 30% from January to August compared to the same period last year, and should end in 2025 with an increase of 32.2%.
