Brazilian police are investigating the death of a Manhattan art dealer as a homicide
- Rio state police in Brazil have arrested a man, identified as Alejandro Triana Trevez, in connection with the brutal killing of New York art dealer Brent Sikkema, who was found dead with stab wounds in his Rio de Janeiro apartment. Trevez, believed to be Cuban, was found resting in a gas station.
- According to police, Trevez allegedly stole $3,000 from Sikkema's home, and the main line of investigation is theft leading to homicide. Detective Felipe Curi stated that Trevez may have had "some kind of privileged information" about the victim and has obtained a 30-day prison warrant to explore further leads.
