The monks behind the Dutch Trappist beer La Trappe have launched a soft drink: Ariston. They did not invent the recipe for the drink from scratch, but it dates from during and shortly after the Second World War.
The monks are going along with the health trend among young people and are making soft drinks with little sugar.
When the Trappists of Koningshoeven Abbey in Berkel-Enschot went up to the attic to sort through items for the celebration of the 140th anniversary, they came across something special.
