Bowen Yang to Make Broadway Debut in ‘Oh, Mary!’ This Fall
The former Saturday Night Live cast member will take over from Meg Stalter for a 12-week run as the Tony Award-winning play extends ticket sales through 2027.
- On Tuesday, September 15, former Saturday Night Live cast member Bowen Yang will make his Broadway acting debut as Mary Todd Lincoln in 'Oh, Mary!' for a 12-week engagement through December 6.
- Written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the play reimagines the former First Lady as a cabaret singer during the Civil War era. The production has been running at the Lyceum Theatre for nearly three years.
- Yang follows performers including Escola, Maya Rudolph, and Tituss Burgess in the role. Current star Meg Stalter ends her run September 12, with Hannah Solow performing September 13 before Yang begins.
- Since its July 2024 opening, the production became the first in the Lyceum Theatre's 121-year history to gross more than $1,000,000 in a single week. It has broken its own box office record thirteen times.
- A North American tour launches in Hartford, CT this September alongside the Olivier Award-winning run in London's West End. Tickets are on sale through July 10, 2027.
