On Sunday at approximately 11:57 a.m., the Rochester Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at the SEMASS/Covanta Waste-to-Energy Facility located in Rochester. ROCHESTER — A fire broke out at the SEMASS facility on Cranberry Highway on Sunday, June 14.  One firefighter was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The fire caused a partial roof collapse, but no one was in the area when it occurred. Numerous towns provided mutual aid.  This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
