Six years after his surprise victory, the outgoing mayor came in the lead, with 27.68 per cent of the votes, but he was heeled by the right- and centre-union candidate, Thomas Cazenave (25.58%). A third unlabelled candidate, economist Philippe Dessertine, gathered 20.16%.
The first round of the municipal elections took place on Sunday, March 15. The results fell: ecologist Mayor Pierre Hurmic rose to the top in Bordeaux, in front of macroist MP Thomas Cazenave. Nordine Raymond, candidate LFI, did not reach the second round, according to the final results.
The outgoing mayor Pierre Hurmic (The Ecologicalists) came to the top of the results of the first round of the municipal elections on Sunday, March 15, 2026, heeled by Thomas Cazenave (Renaissance). As in 2020, there will be a triangular in the second round. Except that this time, it is not the left that is divided but the center, with the qualification of economist Philippe Dessertine.
