Bonner crowd pushes back on proposed data center
A packed meeting at the KettleHouse Taproom in Bonner showed local opposition to a proposed data center from Idaho-based company Krambu.
Missoula Neighbors United organized the event and highlighted concerns about pollution, strain on the electric grid, and inconsistencies in Krambu's application.
Paul Barmore helped organize the meeting and said the response united people aiming to keep a specific industry they see as mining data out of their community.
Final approval for the Bonner data center is scheduled to be decided by the Missoula County Consolidated Land Use Board.
