- On July 15, 2025, the Bombay Stock Exchange in Mumbai received an email bomb threat claiming that four RDX IED bombs were placed in its tower, set to explode at 3 pm.
- The threat was similar to previous bomb threats sent to schools in Delhi and the Golden Temple in Amritsar on July 14 and 15, with authorities noting that the suspect had a history of sending such hoax emails.
- A BSE employee alerted authorities who informed Mumbai Police, prompting the bomb squad and police to search the premises, but they found nothing suspicious.
- Mumbai Police registered a case under sections 351 and 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against an unidentified sender from an email ID named 'Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan', and are tracing the source.
