The bomb threats came in late Sunday evening. In Lower Austria alone, more than 20 schools are affected. The police have partially evacuated the buildings and searched them.

After a series of bomb threats on Monday – especially against schools – the Directorate for State Protection and Intelligence is investigating whether there is a connection with similar cases in Bavaria. Threats had also occurred in Salzburg.
