Nineteen days after a 6-year-old boy went missing in Sakata City, there has been a major development. According to the Yamagata Prefectural Police, a body believed to be that of a child was found at around 11:20 a.m. on the 23rd on the beach of Tobishima, an outlying island of Sakata City. Based on the clothing, the police believe it may be a 6-year-old boy, a first-year student at a special needs school in the city, who has been missing since the 5th of this month, and are working to confirm his identity.
