- Deported from Singapore, Gillingham was arrested at Heathrow Airport in August 2025 after fleeing the UK in 2016. Three co-defendants, including his 'lieutenant' Sujanthan Sotheeswaran, were previously sentenced in 2024.
- The Crown Prosecution Service is pursuing a confiscation order under the Proceeds of Crime Act to recover assets for victims. Kate Hurst, from the CPS, said the sentencing brings "one chapter to a close" for those affected.
