Board approves substitute teacher pay increase

To stay competitive with other school districts around the area, West Point Public Schools Superintendent D.J. Weddle suggested a pay increase for substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year at Monday’s meeting.

School Board Meets, Approves Handbooks

The Broadus School Board Trustees met for their regular monthly meeting on the evening of August 10th. The board hired substitute teachers Daniel Yonkee and Krista Gnerer, pending background checks. Background checks are required for all hires who have not previously passed a background check. Chrystal Mitchell was officially hired as the Tech Coordinator at the school, for $3,000 per year....
