BNP Paribas: "An ambitious development plan for the commercial bank in France"

BNP Paribas has presented the trade unions with its "ambitious development plan" for France, which should increase the number of its clients, but should also lead to a reduction in the number of physical agencies in the country.

The unions express their concern about the new strategic plan for the commercial bank, fearing agency closures and downsizing. BNP Paribas wants to accelerate its digital transformation, but without a social plan or announced voluntary departures.

The group presented Wednesday to the social partners its new 2030 roadmap for its commercial bank. €200 million of investments will be deployed this year with a view to conquering new customers.
