BMW Is Planning a Whirlwind of Redesigns over the Next 4 Years, Exec Says

BMW plans a comprehensive redesign of its entire model lineup within the next three and a half years, starting with an updated 5 Series in 2026.
This rapid refresh follows the development of the Neue Klasse design language and EV-focused architecture to unify BMW's electric and combustion cars.
The updates include new exterior and interior designs, powertrain improvements, technical features, and digital enhancements like an upgraded Intelligent Personal Assistant.
Notably, the new all-electric i4 M60 xDrive will launch in July 2025, offering 601 hp, a 433 km range, and efficiency gains from silicon carbide power electronics.
BMW’s design chief promises no model will be left behind and that the full portfolio will show familial resemblance with the Neue Klasse aesthetic by late 2028.
