2026 BMW I4 Gets Hotter M60 Flagship, Longer Driving Range

  • BMW launched the 2026 i4 M60 flagship electric sedan with 593 horsepower and a 3.7-second 0-62 mph time, priced from £70,910.
  • The new M60 replaces the 537hp i4 M50 and adds 50hp over the petrol M4 CS, while updated i4 entry models gain silicon-carbide inverters to boost range.
  • The updated i4 eDrive40 achieves 317 miles per charge, the eDrive35 reaches 266 miles, and all electric models receive an extended eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.
  • BMW says the silicon carbide inverters reduce energy consumption by about 4.5%, raising driving range by roughly 13 to 14 miles on the entry-level i4 variants.
  • Production of the updated i4 range begins July 2025, and while new features may enhance appeal, BMW will evaluate the impact on sales later this year.
