Bitmine Adds $32M in Ethereum, Nears End of Buying
The company said its crypto, cash and marketable securities holdings reached $16.2 billion as it continued weekly Ethereum purchases.
On Monday, October 12, 2026, Bitmine Immersion Technologies announced total crypto, cash, and "moonshot" holdings of $16.2 billion, including 6.03 million ETH tokens nearing its 5% supply target.
Chairman Thomas "Tom" Lee stated Bitmine has purchased ETH each week since June 30, 2025, accumulating a majority of its 6 million holdings during the 2025-2026 crypto bear market.
Through its MAVAN platform, Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH valued at $12.9 billion, with the company projecting $400 million in annualized staking rewards at scale using a 2.61% yield.
During the 2025-2026 bear market, BMNR outperformed ETH with a 3% decline versus ETH's 10% drop, Lee reported; BMNP gained 24% since its June issuance.
Management expects a forthcoming crypto bull market supported by a projected $100 trillion wealth transfer, positioning Bitmine to benefit as younger investors enter with higher risk appetites for digital assets.
Bitmine increased its holdings to 6.03 million tokens, or 4.9% of the supply, by purchasing 12,532 ETH last week; 5.07 million ETH are currently staked.
