Ollin Refuels with $330M to Back Pivotal Tests of Vabysmo Challenger
The funding will support global Phase 3 testing of OLN324 after a 164-patient study showed faster and greater anatomic outcomes than faricimab.
On Wednesday, Ollin Biosciences announced an oversubscribed $330 million Series B financing to fund global Phase 3 trials for OLN324, a potential best-in-class treatment for retinal vascular diseases, beginning in the second half of 2026.
Following positive trial data, Ollin partnered with Innovent Biologics to develop the drug, which achieved "meaningfully faster and greater anatomic outcomes" in DME and wAMD patients compared to Roche's Vabysmo.
Co-Led by TCGX and ARCH Venture Partners, the round drew a syndicate of institutional investors targeting the $15 billion retina market, providing capital to execute the company's registrational program.
Proceeds will also support advancement of OLN102, a first-in-class antibody licensed from VelaVigo, which the company aims to take into clinical development this year for thyroid eye disease and Graves' disease.
Despite increasing scrutiny on Chinese biotech deals, CEO Jason Ehrlich noted the firm remains focused on execution, maintaining that an IPO represents one potential future financing path.
