On Tuesday 24 June, Nancy's administrative court approved new releases of Europe's largest wild bird, despite the opposition of environmental associations and a risk of failure.
The court administration has validated the importation into the Vosges massif of large tetras captured in Norway. Most of these animals from the cold are still struggling to survive. Five environmental protection associations denounce a "disaster" and plan to appeal.
On Tuesday 24 June, the Administrative Court of Nancy approved the order authorizing the reintroduction of large Norwegian tetras in the Vosges. It considers the "general interest" sufficient, despite a first inconclusive release and the reservations of environmental associations and scientists.
