Bihar on Flood Alert as Ganga Rises, 13 Districts Face Threat; Roads, Homes Submerged

- Regional damage includes the Buxar-Mohania National Highway submerged in Buxar and a house swept into the Gandak river in Bettiah due to erosion; waterfalls in Kaimur including Telhar Kund, Karkatgarh, and Bansi Khoh are in spate.
- Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inspected rising water levels and embankment conditions, particularly in Bhagalpur where a breach has occurred, while Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary monitored operations via the water resources department's control center.
- RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized the NDA government, claiming "more than 15 districts are in the grip of floods" while alleging insufficient administrative preparation and lack of awareness campaigns for affected residents.
