Cowenton Avenue closed due to sinkhole

PERRY HALL, Md. — A busy roadway in Perry Hall has been shut down due to a massive sinkhole. At 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company advised that Cowenton Road had been shut down between East Joppa Road and Panorama Drive due to the sinkhole. There has been no ETA on repairs. The Baltimore County Police Department is on the scene to assist with traffic. Motorists should use an alternate route.
