The state government is encouraging farmers to grow cash crops instead of traditional farming. Uttarakhand State Millets Policy 2025-26 Work will be done in two phases under this policy. In the first phase, 30000 hectares in 24 development blocks Work will be done from 2025-26 to 2027-28. In the second phase, 40000 hectares area in 44 development blocks from 2028-29 to 2030-31. Millets policy will be applicable in 11 districts of the state.
