Bicyclist sent to hospital after crash in Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash that injured a cyclist near University Street and War Memorial Drive on Tuesday. The man was riding on a bike when he was hit by a car, according to Peoria police Spokeswoman Semone Roth. He was alert and talking at the scene and was sent to a local hospital for treatment.
