Beware: the tick is advancing again in the Netherlands

The tick radar shows an increase in the number of tick bites: a run-up to the peak, which reaches a peak in May, June and especially July. Infectious diseases researcher at the RIVM Kees van den Wijngaard says that the density of bites is highest around the Gelderse Veluwe, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, dunes and forests in North Holland and in Groningen.
