Oblivion hasn't said its final word yet this year. In addition to the just-released official remake, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, a fan version has been in development for thirteen years and is due to be released at the end of the year. The entire team received a small gift from Bethesda.
Phew, Skyblivion's team says Bethesda's been in touch to say for sure it has "no intention of shutting down our project", so we're still on for two Oblivion remasters this year
Good news, it looks like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered arriving as real thing you can now actually play won't be a harbinger of bad times for Skyblivion.
