Members of the Independent Commission of Inquiry have begun collecting testimonies to investigate the cases of sexual and violent abuse related to the Betharram school.

The report of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry on the Prevention and Control of Violence in Schools was unanimously adopted on Wednesday, 25 June. Working in the wake of the Betharram case, the report makes 50 recommendations to better protect students in schools.

The report of the commission of inquiry, which follows the revelations on the violence in Betharram, was presented this Wednesday morning and voted in camera. The details of the proposals will not be made public.
