Benin: in Cotonou, Voters Show Their Demands for the Future President

Since 27 March, Benin has entered the election campaign for the presidential elections of 12 April 2026. Two candidates are running for the succession of Patrice Talon: the state minister Romuald Wadagni, the candidate of power, and Paul Hounkpè, former mayor of his home town Bopa, qualified as a moderate opponent. The campaign is only just beginning, but the voters already have their list of demands: they want work and freedoms found.
