Beloit officer's bravery recognized with prestigious award

BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — A Beloit police officer has been honored for her heroic actions after saving a man from a submerged vehicle in the Rock River. Officer Hannah Carlson was awarded 'First Responder of the Year' for the 45th District after she jumped into the river to rescue the man.
