The Belarusian authorities have reacted sharply to events planned for the coming weekend in Warsaw, organised by Belarusian opposition groups.
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is organizing a conference and march in Warsaw on the anniversary of the protests following the 2020 presidential elections in Belarus. This is not appreciated by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which summoned the Polish charge d’affaires and handed him a note of protest.
"This is an opportunity to remind ourselves and the world once again that we fight every day for a free and democratic country."
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially protested against events planned for this weekend in Warsaw organized by Belarusian opposition groups. These include the Freedom March and the "New Belarus" conference, which are intended to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the presidential elections in Belarus on August 9, 2020.
