Caleb Williams Strikes Jump-Throw Pose for Madden NFL 27 Cover
EA Sports said the Bears quarterback is the first Chicago player to headline the game after six comeback wins last season.
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the Madden video game franchise announced Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams will grace the cover of Madden 27, becoming the first Bears player ever to earn the honor.
Williams earned the selection after completing 58.1% of his passes for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2025, leading the Bears to an 11-6 record, an NFC North title, and their first playoff victory since 2010.
The Standard Edition showcases Williams' signature jump pass, while the Deluxe Edition features his iconic 'Iceman' celebration; EA Sports designated him a 90 overall rating to begin the season.
"Being on the cover of Madden NFL 27 is a full circle moment," Williams said, following past honorees Saquon Barkley, Josh Allen, and Christian McCaffrey in earning the distinction.
Madden 27 releases August 13, with Williams expressing he is "looking forward to getting my rating up to a 99" by season's end, reflecting his competitive drive.
