Chicago Bears Place Tremaine Edmunds, Roschon Johnson on Injured Reserve
Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and running back Roschon Johnson will miss at least four weeks due to groin and thumb injuries, with other key players also sidelined, the Bears announced.
Saturday the Chicago Bears placed linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and running back Roschon Johnson on injured reserve after both missed all practices and were ruled out for Sunday's game.
Tremaine Edmunds suffered a groin injury late in Chicago's 19-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings on November 16, 2025, and is expected to miss four to six weeks, with a potential return around Dec. 20.
The Bears signed Brittain Brown and Carl Jones Jr. and elevated Nikola Kalinic and Jordan McFadden; Tremaine Edmunds leads Chicago with 89 tackles, three quarterback hits and one sack.
With all three starting linebackers out, rookies Ruben Hyppolite and D'Marco Jackson are likely to take charge against the AFC North-leading Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon will remain on injured reserve and Jaquan Brisker is questionable with a shoulder injury as the Bears ruled out at least five players for Sunday.
