Bears drop first conference match of the year at Wingate - Lenoir-Rhyne University Athletics

WINGATE, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne dropped their first conference match of the year in four sets to No. 20 ranked Wingate on Tuesday night. Emmaleigh Allen, Kayli Cleaver, and Brooke Aeschliman all finished with over 10 kills while Emmie Modlin led the team with 22 assists. The Bears will look to bounce back this Saturday as they turn their attention to the Newberry Wolves at home.

Wingate, N.C.----In a contest featuring the only two teams without a conference loss, the 20th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs prevailed 3-1 against Lenoir-Rhyne University in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate won by scores of 25-13, 20-25, 25-23 and 25-16 to improve to 12-1 overall and 5-0 in the SAC, while the Bears fall to 10-3 overall and 4-1 in league play. The Bulldogs have now won 11 straight matches.
