BBC Radio 2 confirms presenter shake up as Ellie Taylor to replace Emma Willis
Ellie Taylor will also replace Janette Manrara and Fleur East on It Takes Two as Emma Willis joins Strictly’s Saturday night hosting team.
Comedian Ellie Taylor will temporarily replace Emma Willis on BBC Radio 2's Saturday lunchtime slot starting September 26, coinciding with the first live episode of Strictly Come Dancing this year.
Willis is stepping away from her radio duties to co-host Strictly alongside newcomers Josh Widdecombe and Johannes Radebe, with her final radio show airing today.
Beyond her radio stint, Taylor will begin presenting BBC Two's It Takes Two on September 28. Helen Thomas, head of BBC Radio 2, said, "It is always such a joy to hear her on Radio 2."
Taylor expressed enthusiasm for the role, stating, "I cannot wait to be back at Radio 2," and that she is "thrilled to be looking after Emma's Saturday show."
The comedian previously competed on Strictly in 2022 alongside professional dancer Johannes Radebe; she now joins the network's high-profile lineup as the new season approaches, though official presenter pay remains unconfirmed.
