The AfD may continue to be monitored by the Bavarian State Office for Constitutional Protection.
The Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution is allowed to monitor the AfD. This was decided by the Bavarian Administrative Court. The court justified its decision, among other things, with the party's policy on "remigration".
Bavarian top court rules state spy agency can monitor AfD
Bavaria's regional domestic intelligence agency can monitor the right-wing populist AfD, the state's top court has ruled. Several states are trying to implement similar steps, with the opposition party challenging it.
Legal defeat for the AfD also in second instance: Bavaria's constitutional protection allows the party to continue to observe how the administrative court ruled. The court did not allow an appeal.
The domestic secret service may keep the AfD in Bavaria under surveillance. The Bavarian Constitutional Court justified this with the party line on remigration.
