A local youngster fighting a rare disease received a treat Thursday. In honor of National Kleefstra Syndrome Awareness Day, 7-year-old Eastside Elementary School student De’Mari Jackson received a tour of the Lake City Fire Department. Jackson, who got to see several firetrucks during his visit to the Public Safety Building downtown, loves seeing firetrucks.
