Battlefield 6 Contaminated Map Revealed for Season 2 With Classic BF4 Map Also Confirmed to Return
Season 2 of Battlefield 6 will introduce a new Contaminated map and a rebuilt Golmud Railway, the largest multiplayer map yet, with early testing starting soon in Battlefield Labs.
- On January 21, EA and Battlefield Studios published a lengthy update confirming Battlefield 6 Season 2 will arrive on February 17 with at least two new maps including Contaminated.
- To regain momentum, Battlefield Studios said it will use behind-closed-doors and Battlefield Labs testing to recover from Season 2's recent delay.
- As for Contaminated, EA says its size sits between Eastwood and Mirak Valley and the studio will test vehicle and aerial gameplay interactions in live matches.
- Labs players can try some new content as soon as this Friday, EA confirmed the AH-6 Little Bird will return in Season 2, while the REDSEC solo queue remains in internal and exploratory testing with no firm release date.
- Golmud Railway will be fully rebuilt and brought into multi-session Battlefield Labs testing, becoming the largest Battlefield 6 multiplayer map while preserving combined-arms gameplay.
