Bath proposes 10-cent tax hike
WARM SPRINGS — Bath County leaders are proposing a tax hike for next fiscal year.
In a split decision, the Bath County Board of Supervisors voted to advertise a real estate tax rate set at 70 cents per $100 in value — a 10-cent increase — to offset a budget shortfall.
If that rate is adopted, the county will still need $676,047 to cover the 2025-26 budget.
