Samsung Partners with Solana to Natively Deliver Stablecoins in Samsung Wallet to 82 Million U.S. Galaxy Devices
The feature will let users send remittances from Samsung Wallet without separate crypto apps, with transfers handled through Solana infrastructure and biometric authentication.
- Samsung Electronics will introduce USDC stablecoin transfers through Samsung Wallet in late October, enabling eligible U.S. Galaxy users to send money to crypto wallets and bank accounts overseas.
- To operate the service, Samsung is working with Bastion and Coinbase, while Solana and Sui serve as blockchain infrastructure partners supporting the integration without requiring users to manage private keys.
- Reaching 82 million U.S. Galaxy devices, Solana Foundation President Lily Liu said the integration "puts digital dollars into everyday life through one of the world's most trusted technology brands."
- Recipients in more than 60 supported countries can receive local currency directly into their accounts, while Samsung will not charge transfer fees when USDC is sent to supported external wallets.
