Barrie man charged after police say he falsely reported being stabbed

Barrie Police have charged a man with public mischief after he claimed to have been stabbed. Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police say they responded to a report of an assault in the area of Puget Street near Shanty Bay Road in the city's east end. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man with a stab wound to his leg.
