Officials say a barn fire began in Manchester around 1:30 PM on Sunday afternoon, March 1.

Fire destroyed a barn north of Manchester on Sunday. The Manchester Fire Department was called to Mitch and McKenzie Bockenstedt’s farm at 1819 180th Street around 1:30 pm for a report of a barn fully engulfed in fire.  Fire Chief Randy Rattenborg says twelve cows did not survive. The Bockenstedts also lost around 150 cornstalk bales and thirty hay bales.  Fire departments from Dundee, Edgewood, Greeley and Delaware assisted with mutual aid.  Ra…
