A former county councilor from Bangor has declared her intention to seek Plaid Cymru's candidacy for the new constituency of Bangor Conwy Môn in next year's Senedd elections. Mair Rowlands was a councilor for the Menai ward in Bangor Uchaf between 2012 and 2022, before becoming a Cabinet Member and then deputy leader of Gwynedd Council.
