Historically, voter turnout for the municipal election is lower than it is for provincial or federal elections, but several local volunteer groups are hoping to change that this time round.

Ballots are headed to voters for Juneau’s municipal election

It marks the kickoff of Juneau’s local by-mail election. This year, it features three ballot propositions, three open seats on the Juneau Assembly and two open seats on the school board.
