ÎLE-DE-FRANCE, FRANCE, AUG 6 – Nine Paris Saint-Germain players and coach Luis Enrique are among the Ballon d'Or 2025 nominees, recognizing top performances including PSG's treble-winning season, France Football said.
- Thursday’s announcement by France Football revealed 30 nominees for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, including nine from Paris Saint-Germain and coach Luis Enrique.
- Following a treble at PSG, Ousmane Dembele scored 35 goals and claimed 16 assists in all competitions, helping the club win Ligue 1, the French Cup, and the Champions League.
- Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal recorded 25 assists and was nominated for the Kopa Trophy last year.
- Brazilian forward Marta, at age 39, came out of retirement to lead Brazil to the women’s Copa America title and was nominated alongside five England players from their Euros victory.
- Coaches nominated include Enzo Maresca, Chelsea coach who guided Chelsea to the Club World Cup, and Arne Slot, Liverpool coach who won the Premier League in his first season; Sonia Bompastor, Chelsea women's coach, is also recognized.
