The Czech government has submitted a bill to ban the use of mobile telephones in schools starting from September 2027, Prime Minister Andrej Babis said on Monday, joining a growing global push to limit screen time for children in the classroom.
Students in kindergartens, primary schools and lower secondary schools will no longer be able to use mobile phones at school, even during breaks. A new bill promoted by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) envisages a ban. It should come into effect in September 2027.
