Pakistan Wins Toss, Elects to Field in First ODI Against Australia
Arafat Minhas and Ollie Peake made ODI debuts as Pakistan and Australia adjusted lineups for the three-match series.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field in the first ODI of the three-match series against Australia on Saturday.
Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi led a Pakistan side featuring returning stars Babar Azam and Shadab Khan alongside debutant all-rounder Arafat Minhas in the ODI format.
Josh Inglis captains Australia without Mitchell Marsh, who is sidelined by an ankle injury; the squad handed a debut to 19-year-old spinner Ollie Peake and selected Tanveer Sangha over Adam Zampa.
Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc are being rested for the series, while Josh Hazlewood remains unavailable due to commitments in the Indian Premier League.
Lahore will host the remaining ODIs of the three-match series, with matches scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday.
