Former head of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND), August Hanning, has been detained on charges of passing classified information to a foreign intelligence agency. According to the weekly Der Spiegel, Hanning was allegedly preparing an analysis for Azerbaijani intelligence based on the classified information.
