(NBC, KYMA) - Mortgage rates are up again. The average for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage hit 7.5% Monday, Its the first time rates have been this high since April of 2024. One year ago today, Mortgage News Daily said the average on a 30 year home loan was just under 6.4%. The cost of borrowing money is also reflected in the bond market, yields for the five, ten, twenty and 30 year U.S. treasury bonds are all up today.
