‘Avatar: Fire And Ash’ Gets Streaming Release Date
The digital release includes over three hours of bonus content and precedes the physical formats arriving in May to enhance home viewing experience.
On Tuesday, Walt Disney Home Entertainment announced that Avatar: Fire and Ash will arrive on digital platforms starting March 31, 2026, with physical releases on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray Disc, 3D Blu-ray, and DVD following on May 19.
This sequel, the third in James Cameron's series, hit theaters on Dec. 19 and accumulated over $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office. The story follows Jake and Neytiri as they grapple with grief and encounter the Ash People.
Home release versions feature Dolby Vision picture quality and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. Disney confirmed the physical edition includes an array of bonus features spanning "over 3 hours," nearly matching the film's runtime.
Consumers can purchase or rent the film digitally on Prime Video, Apple, and Fandango at Home starting March 31. As a 20th Century Studios release, the movie will likely end up on Disney and/or Hulu in the future.
The home release provides exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, including "Stunts: Second unit director Garrett Warren" and "RDA Orientation" tutorials. Filmmakers also highlight Miley Cyrus performing the end-title ballad, "Dream as One," in the official Music Video.
