Audience member steps in to rescue ‘La La Land’ concert after keyboard player falls ill

- Academy Award-winning composer Justin Hurwitz asked the audience for sight readers when the keyboardist became unable to continue, and Nasa received a briefing lasting only two or three minutes before performing.
- Hurwitz stated, "As soon as he started playing, like, I was impressed," while audience member Maddie Corwin observed that everything "flowed and meshed" without noticeable disruption.
- Nasa told CNN on Monday it is "always nice to" get a response, while Corwin captured the moment on Instagram, calling it the "most INSANE concert experience ever" in Sydney.
- The spontaneous performance mirrored the movie La La Land, about characters Mia and Sebastian in Los Angeles, which Corwin said exemplified what the film represents about artists pursuing their dreams.
